Mike Gonsolin, known professionally as Mike G, is a record producer, musician, singer, songwriter, and skilled mixing engineer from the Bay Area, CA. He played a pivotal role in propelling the new wave of hip-hop to mainstream acclaim. A multi-instrumentalist, Mike G began his musical journey as a teenager, writing and recording songs with his hard rock band. Driven by a fervent passion for songwriting and constrained by the high costs of studio time, he built his studio at an early age. This allowed him to broaden his horizons into hip-hop production and beat-making. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2010, Mike G quickly made a name for himself, collaborating across all genres with top-tier artists like Snoop Dogg, Playboi Carti, Migos, and T-Pain, as well as renowned producers and even in motion picture soundtracks. His rise to recognition continued as he befriended emerging artists such as Sad Frosty in 2018 and Quadeca in 2019. Together, they launched the hip-hop YouTube series “Viral In 24,” which quickly became a viral sensation. Despite his status as a leading hip-hop producer, Mike G was consistently encouraged by his friend Sad Frosty to pursue a solo career. Motivated by Sad Frosty’s passing in 2022, Mike G committed to realizing this dream without delay. In 2023, he unveiled his eagerly anticipated debut single “Girls Gone Wild” featuring Offset and G-Eazy. Since its release, the track has amassed over 3.5 million streams.
